If you’re lucky enough to get a tax refund this year, I have some suggestions in terms of what you could do with it, and some suggestions around what NOT to do with it. I’ll start with the what NOT to do first – don’t spend your tax refund on stuff you don’t really need…………… stuff that in 6 or 12 months’ time you won’t even remember buying. What I suggest you could do with it (this will depend on you own individual situation): Create your Emergency Fund if you don’t already have one Pay off some bad debt If you have an Emergency Fund and you don’t have any bad debt, you could look at putting it against your home loan or in your offset account If you have an investment property, you could leave this in a buffer account for your investment property – should you have any unexpected expenses or if the property is left vacant for a period of time Are you getting any dosh back this year? What are you going to do with it? Big hugs Kaia xo
